Staying at one of these hotels? We can pick you up there
Most of our private trips include car pick-up and drop-off at your hotel. Open trips and boat rentals start from Tanjung Kelayang beach, a short ride from the north-coast resorts. Tell us where you are staying when you book and we will confirm the pick-up time.
Where should I stay in Belitung for island hopping?
On the north coast. Island-hopping boats leave from Tanjung Kelayang. Dafam Resort Belitung and Billiton Ekobeach Retreat sit on Tanjung Kelayang Beach itself, while Sheraton Belitung Resort, Swiss-Belresort Belitung and Hotel Santika Premiere Beach Resort Belitung are about 10 to 15 minutes away by car. Staying in Tanjung Pandan works too; allow about 30 to 40 minutes to the pier.
Is it better to stay in Tanjung Pandan or Tanjung Kelayang?
It depends on your plans. Tanjung Kelayang and the rest of the north coast suit beach time and early boat departures, with resorts right on the sand. Tanjung Pandan suits short stays and food lovers: it is about 20 to 25 minutes from the airport and close to Kong Djie coffee and the Tin Museum. On a longer trip you can split your nights between the two.
How far is Tanjung Kelayang from Tanjung Pandan?
Roughly 25 to 30 km, or about 30 to 40 minutes by car along the coast road through Tanjung Binga.
How far are Belitung hotels from the airport?
H.A.S. Hanandjoeddin Airport (TJQ) is about 20 to 25 minutes from the Tanjung Pandan hotels, and about 35 to 45 minutes from the north-coast resorts around Tanjung Kelayang and Tanjung Binga.
Is there a five-star hotel in Belitung?
Yes. Sheraton Belitung Resort, opened by Marriott in September 2020 in Tanjung Binga, is widely described as Belitung's first five-star resort. Several other hotels on this page are listed as four-star, including Hotel Santika Premiere Beach Resort Belitung, Swiss-Belresort Belitung, BW Suite Belitung, Golden Tulip Essential Belitung and Grand Hatika Hotel.
Which international hotel brands are in Belitung?
Marriott International runs two: Sheraton Belitung Resort on the north coast and Fairfield by Marriott Belitung in Tanjung Pandan. You will also find Swiss-Belhotel International (Swiss-Belresort Belitung) and Louvre Hotels Group (Golden Tulip Essential Belitung), alongside Indonesian groups such as Santika, BW Hospitality, Dafam and Prasanthi.
Why do some hotel names look different on booking sites?
A few hotels have been renamed. BW Suite Belitung was previously Aston Belitung, Golden Tulip Belitung is now Golden Tulip Essential Belitung, Swiss-Belresort Belitung opened as Swiss-Belresort Tanjung Binga, and Billiton Ekobeach Retreat was formerly Eco Beach Tent by Billiton. Older listings may still show the previous names.
Can Belitung Mampau Tour pick me up from my hotel?
Yes, on most of our private trips, which include car pick-up and drop-off at your hotel. Open trips and boat rentals meet at Tanjung Kelayang beach. Send us your hotel name on WhatsApp when you book and we will confirm the pick-up time.
Hotel details are compiled from public sources such as official hotel websites and brand pages, checked in September 2026, and may change. Belitung Mampau Tour is not affiliated with these hotels.
